Identity infrastructure is the foundation of almost every customer environment today. Without it, nothing else works. Yet it has long been a blind spot in many MSPs' backup strategy: servers are protected, endpoints are protected, but the directory that controls who has access to what has often been left outside the scope of protection.
That changes now. Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud supports backup of Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), meaning you can protect the entire organization: users, groups, roles, and application registrations.
Restoration can be performed at exactly the level the situation demands. If a single user account has been incorrectly modified, you can restore just that record, or even a single attribute. If you need to restore at the organization level, that option is there too. You choose the granularity based on what actually happened, not on what the tool happens to support.
Beyond recovery, you can download audit and sign-in logs directly from the backup, and compare backup data against live data to catch configuration drift. That gives you a concrete way to detect whether something in the environment has changed without it being intentional.
Entra ID is in practice just as business-critical as servers and endpoints. Now you can protect it the same way, in the same platform you already use.
