The Challenge

Patrik has witnessed this trend first-hand in the over 20 years he has worked in the IT industry. What companies now expect from an IT service provider is a partner who can provide solutions to and empower the remote working environment which almost all businesses are expected to support.

While flexible working is believed to increase employee satisfaction and reduce company overheads, it also comes with its own set of risks. Users working outside the office can easily become vulnerable to risks including allowing unauthorized access to their devices, failing to install security patches, and sending data over insecure networks. Patrik knew that in order to counteract the risks his clients were facing from remote work, he had to ensure all end users were appropriately trained on the risks.

The Solution

usecure's MSP-centered platform is designed to make comprehensive human risk management easy to run across multiple clients and large numbers of end users. Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace integrations mean that importing and synchronizing users happens automatically, no matter how often employees leave or are hired.

Together with policy signature and dark web breach detection data, all phishing simulation and training numbers are brought together to formulate a single Human Risk Score for each client and user. This score allows any changes in risk to quickly be spotted and addressed. Patrik decided that, as an MSP-focused solution with many automation features, usecure would be the best fit for his product stack.

The Result

Since having their users enrolled onto the usecure platform, Patrik's clients have reported a clear increase in their users' ability to identify potential risks to data security. "The platform's user-friendliness," says Patrik, "means that employees can easily take in new information about cyber risks that might otherwise be perceived as rather difficult to understand."

But even as regular phishing simulations and security awareness courses have increased employee ability to understand and detect risks across the board, there has been little increase in administration or support work for Patrik. With the Microsoft 365 integration and automated features of the usecure platform, after the initial set up of new clients there is very little day-to-day management required.

How They Did It

IT-Visionären automated user synchronization and training enrolments with usecure. Auto Enrol is usecure's tool for running security awareness training programs. It takes just a few clicks to set up for each client - and the courses cover all core cyber security topics in a custom programme taking into account each individual user's unique strengths and weaknesses.

Auto Phish is usecure's automated simulated phishing awareness solution. When enabled, Auto Phish sends out randomized phishing simulation emails based on real-life scams to end users. Users that become compromised can also be configured to automatically receive additional training.

By making use of Auto Enrol, Auto Phish, and usecure's Microsoft 365 integration tools, Patrik managed to address human risk over hundreds of clients with minimal admin overhead.
